Project Objective
To exhibit a strong capability to create imagery using type, and use type successfully in an experimental manner using collage. To explore creative solutions in imaginative alternate methods using type as a primary element in design. To showcase the ability to use industry-standard software and tools to demonstrate a high level of practical knowledge of type to communicate ideas, achieve an overall aesthetic goal according to a creative brief, and demonstrate typesetting skills on a 3D product.
My Intent
I was seeking to create a unique and captivating album cover design for an album release from Avery Lynch. Avery Lynch is a rising pop & indie folk musician known for her heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies. Through the design of the album cover, the main goal was to encapsulate her music's natural, bedroomy, homey essence and the themes explored in the album. The listener will be able to resonate with the following adjectives: reflective, sincere, introspective, charming, serene, calm, and gentle. The album's target audience includes fans of indie folk music, singer-songwriter genres, and those who appreciate introspective and emotionally resonant music. Avery's audience is likely to be in the age range of 18-35, with an appreciation for her style of music.
